Its getting about time to round of this years expedition season on Greenland. Of the 5 expeditions that sat fot on the icecap close to Isortoq on the east coast only 2 made it all the way to point 660 on the west coast and we congratulate the 8 strong norwegians that made it yesterday! Starting 15:th of September all activity on the icecap will be forbidden until beginning of April when the expeditions will start once again going the other direction, west - east.10 hours ago

Då börjar det bli dags att runda av expeditionssäsongen på Grönland för i år. Av de fem expeditioner som satte sin fot på isen vid Isortoq nu under hösten var det bara 2 expeditioner som kom fram och vi gratulerar årets andra expedition som kom in igår http://greenland2011.wordpress.com! Från och med i övermorgon är det förbjudet att befinna sig på isen och nu får helt enkelt istäcket repa sig fram till mitten av April när det är dags igen, då för fler expeditioner som går åt andra hållet!10 hours ago

Expeditionen avslutas på murphy - aktigt satt med två missade flighter i Køpenhamn och kvøllen/natten kommer spenderas medelst chicago och sovning med ett øga i taget :) Tradade lite tur på isen mot lite otur i Danmark! Joakim Bill
Joakim is currently studying towards a M.sc. in Civil Engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm where he also met his girlfriend Louise. He did the military service as an arctic ranger in Arvidsjaur in northern Sweden 06/07 and when he is not spending time with his girlfriend you will find him hiking in the swedish mountains or playing floorball.
Michael just graduated with a B.sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management and did his military service together with Joakim in Arvidsjaur. In the fall he will do an internship at a managament consulting firm and when he is not studying or working he is dreaming of big white plains and varm cozy sleeping bags.
